INTERNATIONAL IS RECALLING MY 2008-2009 4000, 5000, 7000, 8000, 9000 AND PROSTAR TRACTOR/TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH BENDIX MV-3 DASH CONTROL VALVES. THE MOLDED VALVE BODY HAS AN INCORRECT CORE PIN IN THE INJECTION MOLD CAUSING THE VALVE BODY TO BE OVERSIZED IN THE DOUBLE CHECK VALVE AREA. THIS CONDITION CAN ALLOW THE RUBBER DOUBLE CHECK VALVE TO BECOME LODGED IN THE BODY OPENING UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. Built 2008-01-15 to 2008-02-13. |

| 2008071 | 2008-02-28. Brakes. Certain vehicle may have been assembled with an incorrectly manufactured Bendix MV-3 dash control valve. If the double check valve becomes lodged, in the event of a primary reservoir failure, air pressure can leak past the lodged valve, thereby depleting the secondary reservoir, causing a reduced ability for modulating the emergency brakes. Extended stopping distances may result in a vehicle crash, causing property damage, and/or personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the dash control valve. |
