Recalls that may apply to the 1990 International 8300

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

By component

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
90V1870001990-11-01. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. POSITIVE JUMP START FEED STUD OR CABLE COULD MAKE ELECTRICAL CONTACT WITH MOUNTING BRACKET ON LEFT REAR UNDERSIDE OF SLEEPER BOX, CAUSING THE GROUND PATH TO BE THROUGH A SMALLER GAUGE WIRE. Built 1987-01-01 to 1990-07-01.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
19901761990-11-09. Electrical. THE JUMP START FEED STUD ON THE SLEEPER BOX COULD COME LOOSE FROM ITS BRACKET OR THE FEED STUD CABLE COULD COME LOOSE FROM THE STUD. THIS WOULD RESULT IN A GROUND PATH THROUGH A SMALL GAUGE WIRE WHICH COULD OVERHEAT RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE IN-CAB FIRE. CORRECTION: JUMP START FEED STUD MOUNTING WILL BE REVISED.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
