Recalls that may apply to the 1996 International 4900

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

20000202000-01-18. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the s-cam on the front drive axles may experience interference with the knuckle stud as the brake lining wears. This would prevent the s-cam from rotating through its full range of motion thereby restricting the amount of braking force transmitted from the brake shoe linings to the brake drums. Correction: Interfering knuckle studs will be shortened.
19990251999-02-22. Steering. On certain vehicles, the tie rod end can pull outboard and separate from the tie rod tube due to improper thread engagement between the male tie rod end and the female tube. A separation of the tie rod end could result in loss of steering control and a possible crash. Correction: The complete tie rod assembly will be replaced on involved vehicles.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
