Recalls that may apply to the 2001 International 4300

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20042082004-06-24. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the positive battery cable between the battery and the starter may rub against an electrical ground cable between the starter and frame rail, possibly causing an electrical short and/or fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect to determine if any chafing has occurred between the positive and negative cables. If there is no evidence of chafing, a saddle clamp will be installed to ensure cables do not rub. If there is evidence of chafing, the damaged cables will be replaced and the swivel saddle clamp installed.
20040482004-02-05. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the Bosch Zero Offset Pin Slide (ZOPS) hydraulic disc brakes may experience calipers sticking in the applied position, which can result in excessive or abnormal heat generation at one or more of the brakes. In bus applications, the combination of the following factors may collectively result in an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety: potential fire at a wheel end, high incident rates of stuck calipers, and evacuation and containment concerns relating to multiple passengers. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs. This is an expansion of Recall 2003053.
20032002003-08-24. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the primary and secondary air supply hoses from the foot valve to the air tanks were reversed at the tanks. If the primary air circuit is damaged, the brakes will not apply when the brake pedal is depressed, potentially causing a vehicle crash without warning and possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealer will inspect all suspect vehicles and repair incorrect air plumbing.
20012702001-11-21. Electrical. Certain vehicles fail to meet C.M.V.S.S. 104. During the system frozen test the washer pump fuse failed. Correction: Dealer will replace the 5 amp fuse with a 10 amp fuse and install a new 10 amp label over the original 5 amp designation on the fuse panel label.
20011852001-06-26. Lights And Instruments. On certain vehicles the magnetic proximity switch on the parking brake lever may cause the daytime running lights to be off while the vehicle is in motion. Correction: Dealers will replace the parking brake lever.
20011842001-06-26. Electrical. Certain heavy duty trucks. There is an electrical problem with a remote power module. These vehicles were built with the ability to add six remote switches per module, which are mounted outside the cab and are used to turn on and off circuits that perform custom electrical functions. If two or more remote switches are actuated ON within 100ms of one another, all six of the outputs on the remote power module will turn on. If two or more remote switches are actuated OFF with 100ms of one another, all six of the outputs on the remote power module with turn OFF. Unintentional activation of remote body accessories could cause a crash resulting in property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will replace all the remote power modules.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
