Service bulletins for the 2013 Infiniti JX35

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Infiniti USA Ret2018-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Infiniti USA Electronic Field Communication Subject: Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report Lists Updated The lists for each retailer?s Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report has been updated today in DBS. We made our best effort to reassign vehicles to retailers based on the most recent owner information we received. The complexity of filtering out brokers (banks, salvage yards, and insurance companies) and reassigning VINs based on updated owner information affected over 123K records between INFINITI and Nissan, so we are unable to summarize the changes at a regional or retailer level. We suggest the retailers download their lists and have their outbound call centers compare information if necessary. If you have questions, please let us know. Additionally, we will have some enhancements coming in DBS effective November 17, 2018: Owner Data Updates (NNA side): 1. VIN, Campaign Code, and Source are the unique fields 2. Compare all fields except Remove Flag and Comments to see if there is a difference. a. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and all other fields are also the same then the record will be updated without changing Remove Flag and Comment field b. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and any other field is different, then the record will be inserted, in this case Remove Flag and Comment field will be blank as this is new record. The remove flag is being removed so the retailer will understand the information they previously flagged for removal has been updated and should be tried again before reapplying the removal flag. c. The retailer benefit of A & B above is duplicate records for the same VIN, Camp ID, and information source with the same customer contact information will no longer display in DBS on the Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report.

CLIENT SATISFACTION INITIATIVE 2G TELEMATICS HARDWARE REPLACEMENT This bulletin applies to vehcile equipped with navigation systems only. SERVICE INFORMATION On February 26, 2016 Infiniti announced that it was sending a reminder notification to clients affected by AT&T?s planned discontinuation of the 2G cellular network. In June 2016, Infiniti communicated instructions to retailers to update new vehicles in their inventory with 3G compatible telematics control units. At this time, Infiniti is beginning the process of making 3G compatible hardware available to owners of affected vehicles as identified above. This upgrade may require an owner to make a co-payment in order to receive the 3G hardware update. Please refer to the Claims Information below to determine if an owner co-pay is required. This client satisfaction initiative includes both the hardware upgrade and a complimentary one-year subscription to Infiniti Connection Plus telematics service; this does not apply to PC454 (see page 2 for details). You MUST use Service Comm to confirm bulletin Applicability. NOTE: - Vehicle eligibility will be viewed on the second page of Service Comm. This activity is not displayed on the main page of Service Comm because it is optional for customers to participate. - Vehicles without Navigation are ineligible as they are not equipped with TCUs. Retailer?s Responsibility It is the retailer?s responsibility to check SERVICE COMM using the appropriate Service Comm I.D. for the status on each vehicle falling within the range of this client satisfaction initiative which for any reason enters the service department. If a vehicle subject to this client satisfaction activity was part of a retailer trade, the letter associated with that vehicle should be forwarded to the appropriate retailer for upgrade completion.

ITB17-0412017-10-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN INFINITI; 2G TELEMATICS HARDWARE DEACTIVATION INTRODUCTION Infiniti is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign (in the U.S. ONLY) on certain specific 2013-2016 Infiniti vehicles equipped with 2G Telematics Hardware to disable the 2G Telematics Control Unit (TCU). The 2G cellular service is no longer active in the United States and the subject TCUs are no longer connected to telematics services (Infiniti ConnectTM) and no longer perform any function in the affected vehicles. This campaign is being performed out of abundance of caution to help prevent potential cybersecurity issues. - Applied vehicles equipped with the 2G Telematics Control Unit (TCU) that enter the service department for any reason should have the subject TCU deactivated. This campaign will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. - For customers interested in the TCU update as opposed to deactivation, please refer to ITB17-007. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Infiniti has assigned identification number P7331 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a retailer?s inventory.
