Service bulletins for the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

This updated Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software package includes the following: • Brake light logic update for regenerative braking. • i-Pedal mode operation logic update. • 12V battery saver logic update allows charging from EV Battery as low as 10% SOC when parked. The Ioniq 5 update includes these earlier items that Ioniq 6 had included from start of production: • EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) auto engagement when shift into Park/auto disengagement shift out of Park when shifting to D or R while brake pedal is engaged. • DTE (Distance to Empty) strategy. • Snow road surface performance. • Air conditioning performance during AC slow charging. • Enhance charging sequence. |
| 23-EE-010H | 2023-10-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This bulletin is issued to provide the extended battery diagnosis procedure using GDS-M. This battery diagnosis function displays the various battery-related faults such as: • Internal short circuit • Battery deterioration • Malfunction of electronic parts • Insufficient battery charge • Normal battery • Charging defect Battery diagnosis uses the battery sensor history saved for the last 30 days and ICU diagnostic communication to track battery state of charge (SOC) and current parasitic draw history. |
| 23-EV-006H | 2023-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. This bulletin provides service information on how to inspect the charging port and if needed, replace any missing/damaged insulation cap(s) at the charging port on certain 2022-2023MY Ioniq 5 (NE1) and 2023MY (CE1) . The charging insulation caps are important to ensure proper charger connector orientation and fit to the vehicle charge port. |
| 23-01-060H | 2023-08-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain 2022-2023MY IONIQ 5 (NE1) and 2023MY IONIQ 6 (CE1) vehicles may exhibit a condition where low 12V auxiliary battery charging occurs due to an ICCU (Intelligent Charging Control Unit) fault which may set the following DTC P1A9096 – “DC/DC Converter Input Voltage Sensor Fault”. When a fault occurs, the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode while various warning lights, an audible chime will sound, and large messaging in the vehicle’s instrument cluster will appear, instructing the driver to stop the vehicle. The vehicle will be inspected for a DTC P1A9096 and may require either an ICCU software update or ICCU replacement and potential fuse replacement (if fuse is blown when inspected). |
| 23-01-060H | 2023-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Certain 22-23MY Ioniq 5 (NE1) & 23MY Ioniq 6 (CE1) vehicles may have a condition where low 12V auxiliary battery charging occurs due to an ICCU (Intelligent Charging Control Unit) fault and may set the following DTC P1A9096 – “DC/DC Converter Input Voltage Sensor Fault”. When a fault occurs, the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode while various warning lights, an audible chime will sound, and large messaging in the vehicle’s instrument cluster will appear and instruct the driver to stop the vehicle. The Service Procedure flow to be followed is outlined by the flowchart on Page-3. The ICCU system is to be checked by GDS for DTC P1A9096 and depending on the result, will involve either an ICCU software update, or ICCU and potential fuse replacement. Only replace the fuse after it is inspected to confirm to be blown/open. |
| 23-01-059H | 2023-08-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:TAILGATE; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES.
