Service bulletins for the 2023 Hyundai Elantra

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

23-BD-007H2023-05-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Hyundai applies a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on new vehicles before delivery to dealerships. It provides a barrier between the paint and contaminants, such as rail dust, acid rain, and industrial fallout. In rare cases, the paint can become clouded under the PPF. These spots are the result of moisture trapped between the PPF and the paint.
23-01-016H2023-03-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain 2022-23MY Elantra (CN7/CN7a), 2022-23MY Elantra N (CN7 N), and 2023MY Elantra Hybrid (CN7 HEV) vehicles normally equipped with two (2) complete Smart Key FOBs were delivered with only one (1) complete Smart Key FOB and one additional mechanical key. A second Smart Key FOB can now be provided to the customer. Please refer to TSB 23-01-016H (or latest version) for parts and programming information.
23-01-016H2023-03-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain Elantra, Elantra Hybrid, & Elantra N vehicles normally equipped with two (2) complete Smart Key FOBs were delivered with only one (1) complete Smart Key FOB and one additional mechanical key. This bulletin outlines the procedure to provide the 2nd Smart Key FOB and outlines programming for both Smart Key FOBs.
23-BD-002H2023-02-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. This bulletin provides information regarding condensation related to the accumulated moisture in the headlamp, rear combination lamp, daytime running lamp (DRL), or fog lamp. This TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes or during normal driving operation.
22-GI-006H2022-08-05. Service bulletin. TIRES. Effective June 2, 2008, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 (FMVSS 110) established a threshold for correcting load carrying capacity information indicated on tire placards when vehicle weight has been increased before retail sale. This limit is the lesser of 1.5% of GVWR or 100 pounds. If the total added weight exceeds the lesser of the limit, a label must be added to the driver-side B-pillar within 25mm (1 inch) of the original tire placard.
22-EM-010H2022-08-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Follow the guidelines outlined in this bulletin to inspect and clean or replace certain components of the engine intake system accordingly during engine short block or sub-assembly replacement.
22-AT-009H2022-08-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. If you are servicing an applicable vehicle with a “Check Engine” light on and one or more of the DTC listed on Page 2, follow the repair procedure and perform the diagnosis. If necessary, replace the High Flow electric oil pump (HF EOP) for HF EOP issues or the Dual Clutch Transmission for High Pressure electric oil pump (HP EOP) issues.

22-EM-009H2022-07-09. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES. Certain Elantra (CN7/CN7a), Elantra N (CN7 N), and Elantra Hybrid (CN7 HEV) vehicles normally equipped with two (2) Smart Key FOBs will receive only one (1) Smart Key FOB and one additional mechanical key, per vehicle, until further notice. 22-ST-007H2022-06-10. Service bulletin. STEERING; WHEELS; TIRES. N Vehicles are designed to maximize dynamic steering performance. In normal Ackerman steering geometry, the inner front tire turns more than the outer tire to help cornering in low-speed situations, i.e., parking lot maneuvering or sharp U-turns. N vehicles have a steering geometry optimized for performance driving. The N vehicle’s steering angle difference between the front wheels is reduced to enhance cornering performance. While this helps in high performance driving conditions, it can cause a higher level of tire side scrub that may create a slow shudder or vibration while turning at full steering lock. The feel is similar to turning a 4WD vehicle on dry asphalt when locked in 4WD. This shudder or vibration at parking lot speeds is normal, and no repairs should be performed.
22-HC-001H2022-06-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. If you are servicing an applicable model with Hybrid Drive Motor (Traction Motor) improper operation or any DTC listed in the related shop manual, Motor Control System, refer to the shop manual for diagnosis. If the diagnosis indicates a faulty hybrid drive motor, refer to the Service Procedure and replace the hybrid drive motor.
