Service bulletins for the 2022 Hyundai Elantra
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 22-GI-006H | 2022-08-05. Service bulletin. TIRES. Effective June 2, 2008, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 (FMVSS 110) established a threshold for correcting load carrying capacity information indicated on tire placards when vehicle weight has been increased before retail sale. This limit is the lesser of 1.5% of GVWR or 100 pounds. If the total added weight exceeds the lesser of the limit, a label must be added to the driver-side B-pillar within 25mm (1 inch) of the original tire placard. |

| 218/231 amend | 2022-07-09. Service bulletin. STEERING. Certain vehicles may develop a bearing noise within the Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) column worm shaft assembly. If bearing noise is heard, follow the procedure in this bulletin to replace the worm shaft bearing. |
| 22-ST-007H | 2022-06-10. Service bulletin. STEERING; WHEELS; TIRES. N Vehicles are designed to maximize dynamic steering performance. In normal Ackerman steering geometry, the inner front tire turns more than the outer tire to help cornering in low-speed situations, i.e., parking lot maneuvering or sharp U-turns. N vehicles have a steering geometry optimized for performance driving. The N vehicle’s steering angle difference between the front wheels is reduced to enhance cornering performance. While this helps in high performance driving conditions, it can cause a higher level of tire side scrub that may create a slow shudder or vibration while turning at full steering lock. The feel is similar to turning a 4WD vehicle on dry asphalt when locked in 4WD. This shudder or vibration at parking lot speeds is normal, and no repairs should be performed. |
| 22-HC-001H | 2022-06-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. If you are servicing an applicable model with Hybrid Drive Motor (Traction Motor) improper operation or any DTC listed in the related shop manual, Motor Control System, refer to the shop manual for diagnosis. If the diagnosis indicates a faulty hybrid drive motor, refer to the Service Procedure and replace the hybrid drive motor. |
| 22-01-038H | 2022-05-10. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION. Some 2022 Elantra (CN7) vehicles may exhibit one or both of the following conditions: • When driving and the vehicle blind spot collision warning alert sound is on; upon reduction of speed below 10 mph, the warning sound does not turn off. • When backing up/moving in reverse and the rear cross traffic collision audible warning sound is on; upon changing the transmission into Drive, the warning sound does not turn off. This bulletin provides the service procedure to update the left and right BCA (Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist) modules software to resolve the condition(s) stated above. |
| 22-01-027H | 2022-04-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Certain Elantra N (CN7 N) vehicles may have been produced with the clutch disc installed in the reverse direction, potentially causing premature wear due to less clearance between the disc and pressure plate. This bulletin outlines the procedures to inspect the clutch disc, and if necessary, repair the condition. |
| 22-01-014H | 2022-03-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. This bulletin describes the procedure to update wireless CarPlay to alleviate frequent disconnection of wireless CarPlay caused by other wireless noise from unknown sources which could make wireless communication unstable between D-Audio and mobile phone. |
| 21-01-048H | 2021-07-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. On certain 2021-2022 Elantra vehicles, a coolant leak at the Water Temperature Sensor (WTS) may be observed due to machining burrs at the mounting port of the cylinder head, resulting in improper coolant sealing. |
