Service bulletins for the 2013 Honda Odyssey

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Service bulletin - American Honda is announcing a powertrain warranty extension as a result of a settlement of a class action captioned, Soto et al.v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Case No. 3:12-cv-1377-SI (N.D. Cal.). The piston rings on certain cylinders may rotate and align which can lead to spark plug fouling. This can set DTCs P0301 No. 1 cylinder misfire detected, P0302 No. 2 cylinder misfire detected, P0303 No. 3 cylinder misfire detected, P0304 No. 4 cylinder misfire detected, and cause the MIL to come on.
A16-0602018-03-12. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. Service bulletin - Judder from the Torque Converter Lock-Up Clutch. Replaced by 17-052, 2012-13 Odyssey: Judder from the Torque Converter Lock-Up Clutch
A16-0602017-07-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; POWER TRAIN. Service bulletin - A judder from the torque converter lock-up clutch may be felt while driving between 20 and 60mph. The problem is typically diagnosed as a bad torque converter. American Honda investigated the judder and found that the torque converter was not causing the judder; rather, it was caused by deteriorated transmission fluid. The transmission fluid deteriorates quicker than expected when it is exposed to intermittent high heat loads under specific driving conditions. American Honda is working on a software update that will maintain the transmission fluid temperature within the desirable range under all driving conditions and eliminate the potential for this judder. American Honda will revise this service bulletin when the software update is available.

THIS CAN SET DTCS P0301 NO. 1 CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED, P0302 NO. 2 CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED, P0303 NO. 3 CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED, P0304 NO. 4 CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED, AND CAUSE THE MIL TO COME ON."
A160602016-11-25. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
