This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp, service Antilock Braking System, Service Stabilitrak, Service All Wheel Drive, Service Suspension Control, or Hard Steering. Technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored C0196, C0186, C0287, C0710, C0045, C0050, C0800, U0077, U0074, U0125, U0126, U0100, U0101, U0121, U0415, U0432, U0121, and or U0140. Technician should inspect X411 connector for damage or corrosion. Technician will replace any terminals with damage or corrosion.

PIP4990D2017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles with the service engine soon lamp that comes on. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code U0101. Technician should review the appropriate Service Information diagnostics for DTC U0101. Also gather all other diagnostic trouble codes in the vehicle and which modules they are set in. The transmission connector pins should be checked for damaged terminals or poor terminal fit. Also inspect the under hood fuse block for damaged terminals or poor terminal fit and mis-positioned fuses in fuse block. Inspect the ground for the Transmission Control Module. Technician should refer to Service Information automatic transmission controls schematics to determine the ground identification.
PIP4990C2017-03-20. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ENGINE. THIS PRELIMINARY INFORMATION COMMUNICATION ADVISES THE TECHNICIAN THAT SOME VEHICLES MAY HAVE A SERVICE ENGINE SOON THAT COMES ON. TECHNICIAN MAY FIND A DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE U0101 CURRENT OR STORED HISTORY. TECHNICIAN SO CHECK TERMINAL PIN FIT AT TRANSMISSION CONNECTOR, UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK. ALSO THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE GROUND WILL NEED TO BE INSPECTED. TECHNICIAN WILL REVIEW THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE INFORMATION DIAGNOSTICS FOR DTC U0101.
