Service bulletins for the 2024 GMC Sierra

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

N2324289922026-09-10. Emissions. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain 2024 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles. These vehicles may have a Brake System Control Module (BSCM) that does not correctly set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light) if certain system faults with the potential to affect the vehicle’s emissions control system were to occur. Dashboard warning messages and warning lights for traction control, stability control, and brake system would remain functional in the event that a fault that could potentially impact drivability is detected. Dealers are to reprogram the BSCM.
