PIT5674B2021-05-17. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; SERVICE BRAKES; LANE DEPARTURE. This Preliminary information communicates that after installation of GM Accessory Performance Brake Pads it may be noticed the EBCM has set DTC(s) C116C 05 and/or C116B 05. There will be NO warning lights or messages displayed on the IPC/DIC. The GM Accessory Performance Brake Pads do not utilize the brake pad wear sensor. None. These DTC(s) do not cause any warning lights or messages to be displayed in the IPC/DIC. Per the GM Accessory Performance Brake installation instructions, the brake pad sensor connector should be capped with the supplied cap and the brake pad life system disabled in the DIC.

PIT5544D2021-04-19. Service bulletin. STEERING; BACK OVER PREVENTION; POWER TRAIN. This Preliminary information communicates information on a hydrauilc rush type noise from the power steering gear. This noise is a characteristic of the new Active Hydraulic Assist System RPO NV8 and no repairs should be made. The noise is most noticeable in the cab at idle, in park, with all accessories turned off.

Customer Satisfaction Program - Certain 2019 model year GMC Sierra 2500/3500 vehicles, may have incorrect language in the Forward Auto Braking (FAB) section of the owner manual which states, ?If the vehicle has Forward Collision Alert (FCA), it also has FAB which includes Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA)?. This statement is correct for light duty trucks but the heavy duty models only have the Forward Collision Alert. Customer to receive an owner manual insert. Dealers are to print and install the owner manual insert on unsold vehicles.

Customer Satisfaction Program - Certain vehicles may have a condition in which the electronic brake controlmodule is less likely to activate the optional integrated brake assist. Normal braking capability functions as intended. Dealers are to reprogram the front camera module.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have Lane Keep Assist inoperative with the lane keep assist switch LED is always on and the lane keep assist Icon is not illuminated on the IPC after a programming event. Technician will need to ensure that the Front View Camera Module has been properly SPS programmed and SPS configured. Technician will also perform the "Front View Camera Module Calibration" procedure using Global Diagnostic System 2.

Certain vehicles, may have several wires going to the body control module (BCM) damaged due to the installation/removal of the aftermarket LoJack alarm system from the vehicle. Dealer will inspect the wires going to the BCM and knee bolster for evidence that a LoJack alarm system was removed and repair as necessary.
