2021-07-01. Airbag. Issue: On certain trucks, the side curtain airbag inflators could be defective. As a result, the driver and/or passenger side curtain airbag inflator(s) could fail. If this happens, the end cap from the inflator or other parts could be propelled into the vehicle and strike a person. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada Recall No. 2020-576. Safety Risk: A metal end cap or other parts that strike a person could create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace both side curtain airbags.

2017-07-10. Airbag. On certain vehicles, the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), which controls airbag and pretensioner deployment, contains a software defect which may prevent the deployment of frontal airbags and pretensioners in certain circumstances. Failure of frontal airbags and seatbelt pretensioners to deploy in a crash (when warranted) could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will reflash the SDM with new software. In vehicles with any previous deployment events recorded in the SDM, the dealers will replace the existing SDM with a new SDM containing the latest software.
2016-09-09. Note: This recall affects 2014-2017 model year Sierra LD/Silverado LD models and 2015-2016 model year Sierra HD/Silverado HD model vehicles.
2015-12-09. Airbag. On certain vehicles, a mounting stud used to secure the airbag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) to the vehicle may have been incorrectly positioned during the assembly process. This could stress the SDM housing and cause it to fracture which could potentially allow water to enter the SDM and cause it to malfunction. If the SDM does not perform as intended, it could increase the risk of occupant injury in the event of a crash. Correction: Dealers will send the affected vehicles to a repair facility which will relocate the mounting stud and replace the SDM.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
