OVER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF OPERATION, THE BRAKE PIPE COULD WEAR THROUGH SUFFICIENTLY TO CAUSE A LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND A PARTIAL LOSS OF BRAKING ACTION. IF A VEHICLE HAPPENS TO BE IN MOTION AT A TIME WHEN MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCE IS REQUIRED, THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. MODELS EQUIPPED WITH 5.7 L.
