| 24V093000 | 2024-02-08. STEERING. Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024 FCCC MT45G, MT45, and Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control. |

| 23V299000 | 2023-04-26. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC). Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain short wheelbase 2020-2024 Freightliner Cascadia, 2021-2024 Freightliner M2 Business Class, 2022 Western Star 4700, and 2020 Freightliner Classic Cascadia vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with an electronic stability control system and tire combination that may understeer during a J-turn. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles." |
| 2025040 | 2025-01-30. High Voltage. Issue: On certain electric trucks, the electric vehicle power distribution module (EVDM) may not have been assembled properly. As a result, the connector could separate from the module. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, certain driver assist functions may not work. Note: This recall only affects certain eCascadia and eM2 models. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, reinforce or replace the electric vehicle power distribution module. |

| 2024210 | 2024-04-03. Wheels. Problem: On certain trucks, the inner flange of the steer axle wheels may crack. As a result, a piece of the flange could separate from the wheel. Note: This special warranty program only affects ULA18xxx wheels with a size of 22.5" x 8.25". UPDATE - When Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) notified Transport Canada about this problem, they believed that it may cause a rapid air loss of a tire. After further investigation, DTNA has determined that this problem would not result in a rapid air loss. Accordingly, this safety recall was withdrawn. Safety Risk: This problem does not pose a safety risk. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall and will be addressed under a special warranty program offered by Alcoa, the wheel supplier. This notice is for information only and is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. If you notice any cracks on the inner flange of the steer axle wheels, you should contact Alcoa at 1-800-242-9898. |
| 2023060 | 2023-02-14. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the tail lamps do not turn on when the daytime running lamps (DRLs) are on. Canadian regulations require that, if a vehicle has dash backlighting, the low beam headlamps and tail lamps must automatically switch on when it is dark or the tail lamps must stay on at all times. Safety Risk: Driving without tail lamps in low light conditions could make the truck less visible and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to update the parameters for the lighting system. For Western Star 4700 ZODIAC models, the service facility will replace or modify the wiring harness. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
