| 19V093000 | 2019-02-12. STEERING:LINKAGES:TIE ROD ASSEMBLY. Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles equipped with Hendrickson 5" drop axles. In certain front axle, brake lining, and brake spider combinations, braking may cause high vibrations, resulting in early failure of the tie-rod tube. Built 2012-04-30 to 2015-05-26. |

| 17V628000 | 2017-10-06. STEERING:LINKAGES:TIE ROD ASSEMBLY; STEERING. Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2016 Western Star 4900 and Freightliner Cascadia vehicles, equipped with certain Spicer D-Series and E-Series steer axles. The castellated nut on the steer axles may not be properly torqued, allowing the tie rod to loosen. Built 2015-03-17 to 2015-05-30. |
| 15V613000 | 2015-09-30. STEERING:LINKAGES:ARM:IDLER AND ATTACHMENT. Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, Business Class M2, 108SD, 114SD, 122SD, Coronado Glider, and Columbia Glider vehicles manufactured June 29, 2015, to September 7, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the steering arm bolts may not be properly tightened. Built 2015-06-17 to 2015-10-01. |
| 2019066 | 2019-02-13. Steering. Issue: Brake vibrations may cause a steering tie rod to fail. If the tie rod fails and separates, the connection between the front wheels could be lost, reducing a driver’s ability to steer. Note: This problem only affects one vehicle built with a specific combination of a Hendrickson 5" drop axle, brake linings and stamped brake spiders. Safety Risk: A reduced ability to steer could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facility to have the brake spiders and tie rod replaced. |
|---|---|
| 2017488 | 2017-10-10. Steering. On certain vehicles, the castellated nut and cotter pin on the steer axle may not have been tightened to specification. This could cause the tie rod to become loose in the steer axle, which would result in audible noise and/or looseness in steering. If the vehicle were continued to be operated in this condition, the tie rod could disconnect from the knuckle, resulting in a complete loss of control of a vehicle wheel, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will inspect the torque of the castellated nuts on the tie rod, and replace the tie rod stud and knuckle as necessary. |
| 2015485 | 2015-10-16. Steering. On certain vehicles built with a front axle built by Detroit Axles, the steering arm bolt may not have been sufficiently tightened at time of assembly. This could allow the bolt to loosen and potentially result in the separation of the steering arm from the steering knuckle, which could result in a loss of steering. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the bolt torque and re-tighten or replace as necessary. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
