Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Western Star 47X, Freightliner Business Class M2, FCCC MT55G, 2025-2026 Western Star 49X, Freightliner Cascadia, Freightliner 114SD, FCCC MT45G, FCCC S2RV106, 2026 Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2, Freightliner eCascadia, FCCC S2C106, and Freightliner 108SD vehicles. The tie rod castle nut and cotter pin may not be installed properly, which can result in a loss of vehicle steering control. Built to 2025-03-25. |

| 2025478 | 2025-09-11. Steering. Issue: On certain trucks, the castle nut securing the tie rod may not have been tightened properly and/or the cotter pin may be missing. As a result, the nut could loosen and separate. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the tie rod. |
