SB49-0382021-03-24. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Revised Freightliner Service Bulletin for netized Fill Neck for Six-Gallon DEF Tanks. A design change removed the magnets from the fill necks for some 6-gallon diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tanks. If the vehicle is equipped with a non-magnetic fill neck 04-32529-000, it can be updated to a magnetic neck 04-32529-001. This bulletin replaces the version dated 04/18/2017. Updated availability of magnetic fill neck option for other diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank part numbers.

For 1-BOX and Two-Box Configuration Aftertreatment Systems (ATS), this is only possible when the filters are used in accordance with Tables 1 and 2 shown below. All other DPFs, NOT mentioned below, are NOT compatible.

Because of this, all DiagnosticLink 8.09 installed versions will be disabled as of Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Use this procedure to repair oil leaks caused by cylinder block porosity. The low oil pressure, cast areas of the cylinder block can be repaired using this method. J-B Weld is the recommended two-part epoxy for this repair.
