The Federal Placard indicates an incorrect cargo carrying capacity (CCC) and dry weight, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars" and 49 CFR Part 567 "Certification." |
| 2024308 | 2024-05-31. Structure. Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the emergency exit window may not have been installed on the correct side of the trailer. As a result, you may not be able to escape from the trailer in an emergency if the entry door is blocked. Safety Risk: An emergency exit installed in the wrong location could increase the risk of injury in an emergency. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to install an emergency exit window. |
