Service bulletins for the 2023 Forest River Rockport

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

5119642025-09-26. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; SERVICE BRAKES. According to General Motors/Chevrolet recall N242842680: "The brake pressure sensor assembly may allow brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the brake pressure switch. As a safety precaution, General Motors recommends that you park your vehicle outside until the remedy can be performed. The brake fluid may seep into the sensor assembly electrical components and short the brake pressure switch and associated fuse. If brake fluid shorts the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse, the circuit can generate excessive heat that could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury. An under hood fire may occur when the vehicle is off and possibly unattended."
5117672024-05-28. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. According to Ford Motor Company, on your vehicle, it may be possible for the parking brake to disengage without pressing the release button. If the parking brake is unintentionally disengaged, it could result in the vehicle rolling away, increasing the risk of crash or injury. This is according to Ford Recall Campaign 24V143.

511702FRI-INT2023-12-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; PARKING BRAKE. According to Ford Recall 23V625: "In your vehicleâ™s transmission, a casting defect in the transmission upper valve body casting may cause the main control poppet valve to get stuck in the open position. A stuck poppet valve restricts the flow of lubricant to the rear extension housing bushing, resulting in excessive heat generation in the bushing and erosion of the rear seal. This condition leads to transmission fluid leakage, noise, and vibration. The increased vibration may result in a loss of torque retention on the abutment plate bolts. Once the abutment plate bolt torque is compromised, the park actuator may be unable to engage the park pawl into the park gear, which may result in unintended vehicle movement if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash."
511638F2023-08-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. According to GM Safety Recall N222375270/23V266: "These vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that allows brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the pressure switch. The brake fluid may seep into the sensor's electrical components and short the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse. If brake fluid shorts the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse, the circuit can generate excessive heat that could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury. An under-hood fire may occur when the vehicle is off and possibly unattended."
