| 2024643 | 2024-10-25. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong rear axle shaft bolts may have been installed by a Ford dealer during recall 24S05 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-083). As a result, the bolts could loosen and cause a rear wheel to lock up or to separate from the vehicle. This could also cause a loss of power to the wheels or the vehicle to move when it's parked and the parking brake isn't applied. Safety Risk: A rear wheel that locks up suddenly or a wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could create a hazard for others. Additionally, a loss of power to the wheels or a parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury and/or a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear axle shaft bolts. The dealer will also inspect and fill the differential fluid, as necessary. |

| 2024083 | 2024-02-11. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear axle was not properly filled with oil. As a result, the tail bearings could seize, and the pinion stem could break. If this happens, the driveshaft could separate from the rear axle and cause a loss of power to the wheels. This could also cause the vehicle to move when the transmission is in Park, if the parking brake is not used. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 9.75" rear axle and a gasoline engine. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to have the rear axle inspected. It will be repaired and/or parts will be replaced, as necessary. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
