Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford Transit Connect

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 520722023-11-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2023 Transit Connect vehicles built on 31-Oct-2022 and through 05-Sep-2023 may exhibit a condition where the remote start feature is inoperative using the FordPass mobile application. The settings to enable/disable remote start may also not be available within the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center menu. This may be due to incorrect configuration data being present in the body control module (BCM), IPC and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) modules. To correct the condition, download and run the configuration applications for the BCM, IPC, and HVAC modules using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
