Service bulletins for the 2025 Ford F-550

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Bulletins, newest first
SSM 538892025-06-19. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2023-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a trailer brake control module may exhibit a "Trailer Disconnected" message after cycling the ignition off and back on with a trailer connected. This may be due to the presence of an integrated battery charger on a trailer equipped with electric over hydraulic brakes. If trailer functionality is restored after unplugging and plugging the trailer connector back in while the ignition is on, this condition can be corrected by downloading and performing the "Trailer Brake Configuration" application using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19H332 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 538792025-06-11. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2020-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a delayed engagement into drive and/or reverse on initial start-up. The condition may occur at times after sitting overnight or for a couple of days. This may be due to the transmission fluid draining back from the torque converter. This is a normal characteristic of the 10R140 transmission and has no effect on durability, do not attempt to repair. Advise the customer to allow more time after first engine start-up and before shifting into gear allowing time for the torque converter to refill.
TSB 25-22642025-06-10. Service bulletin. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; POWER TRAIN. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a harsh 9-8 downshift during acceleration. This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM).
25-OTA TCU-25.2.7.5 SD2025-06-06. Over-the-air update. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. "Quality improvements include: -Robustness action to improve connectivity and location dependent features."
25-ECM-25.10.21 F-SD2025-06-04. Over-the-air update. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. "Quality improvements include: -Heat Ventilating and Air Conditioning calibration to ensure more consistent airflow through the vents"
TSB 25-22002025-05-21. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an upper engine ticking or tapping noise at idle. Customers may also report experiencing rough engine performance, engine misfire, or a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0301-P0308 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to camshaft and/or valve tappet having excess wear within the engine assembly.
SSM 537642025-05-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. Some 2020 Continental, 2020-2024 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2025 Explorer/Aviator/Escape/Corsair/F-150/F-Super Duty/Ranger/Transit/E-Series, 2021-2025 Bronco, and 2022-2025 Maverick vehicles may require an engine cooling system flush to be performed for various concerns. Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-03 has been updated to eliminate the need to remove and install the radiator assembly to perform a radiator flush.
SSM 537592025-05-13. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. After replacement of any TRON module, the gateway module (GWM) and the TRON capable modules can set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U211A, U211B, U211C, U3034, U3035, U3036, U35D9, U35DA and/or U35DB if the secret authentication security keys are not aligned between the modules, a loss of communication is occurring between modules and/or a module is not responding. This may be a result of missing the new module secret authentication security key obtained when running the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) "Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication" procedure after replacement. When replacing a TRON capable module, run the FDRS "Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication" procedure in the GWM tool box, not in the toolbox of the module with the DTC's, to distribute a new set of secret authentication security keys to all TRON-capable modules. Using the specific vehicle identification number (VIN), refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 418-00 and 418-01 for updated DTCs, applicable TRON module listings and pinpoint tests.
TSB 24-23562024-12-12. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2025 F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or before 10-Oct-2024 equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P20A5 stored in the PCM.
