Service bulletins for the 2020 Ford F-550

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 488642020-07-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Some 2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may exhibit the infotainment system stating in Michigan when trying to select a point of interest using the push to talk feature on the navigation system. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition, which is expected to be available in July. Please monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
TSB 20-21702020-06-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2018-2020 F-150/Expedition/Navigator/F-Super Duty vehicles built on 31-Aug-2018 and through 02-Feb-2020 may exhibit a water leak on the right front floor during and/or after the air conditioning (A/C) is used. This may be due to condensation from the evaporator drain tube entering the vehicle through the drain tube seal. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to install an elbow on the evaporator drain tube to direct the condensation away from the seal.
SSM 487772020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a condition where the turn signals flash fast after removal of the factory pick up box and tail lamps for flatbed installation. To prevent the turn signals from flashing fast, the BCM will need to be configured using the FDRS scan tool. Start a vehicle session in FDRS using the vehicles VIN and go to the toolbox tab. The BCM will have an application labeled Turn Signal Lamp Configuration. Download and run this application to configure the turn signals.
SSM 487172020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) may require the removal of the factory equipped tail lamps to accommodate the use of aftermarket equipment. Once the tail lamps are removed, this may result in BLIS and CTA warning indicators illuminated in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). To clear these warning indicators, the BLIS and CTA systems will need to be disabled using the FDRS scan tool. Start a vehicle session in FDRS using the vehicles VIN and go to the toolbox tab. The BCM will have an application labeled Disable/Enable Blind Spot Information System. Download and run this application to enable or disable the BLIS And CTA systems.
SSM 484442020-02-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit a symptom of no ability to schedule a remote start event using the FordPass or Lincolnway app. If only the scheduling portion of the remote start system is not functioning, no repair attempts should be made to correct this condition. If the remote start system is not functioning using the key fob and/or the on-demand remote start function from FordPass or Lincolnway application, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06 for further diagnosis. Do not attempt repairs at this time. Engineering is currently investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 481352019-09-09. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2013-2020 vehicles equipped with an EVDC air conditioning (A/C) compressor may exhibit poor A/C performance/improper climate function. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC control valve tester has been provided to each U.S. dealership (339-EVDC100). Ensure the A/C system has a full charge prior to any compressor diagnostics. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC compressor tool must be used, and the results recorded in the Technician comments field with the warranty claim. This tester will help reduce the potential for misdiagnosis and unnecessary compressor replacement. Refer to the Rotunda catalog for a video and user manual which provide detailed operating instructions.
