Ferrari North America (Ferrari) is recalling certain 2014 Ferrari California, 2014-2015 Ferrari 458 Italia, 458 Spider, 2014-2016 Ferrari FF, 2014-2017 Ferrari F12, 2015-2018 Ferrari California T, 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale A, 2016 Ferrari F60 America, 2016-2017 Ferrari F12 tdf, 2016-2018 Ferrari 488 GTB, 488 Spider, 2017-2018 Ferrari GTC4Lusso and 2018 GTC4Lusso T vehicles nationwide. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. | 2022534 | 2022-09-21. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake reservoir fluid cap may not vent properly. As a result, the braking system could leak brake fluid. If this happens, there could be a partial or total loss of braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking or a loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ferrari will notify owners by mail. Ferrari will send you a second notice once the repair parts are available. Ferrari advises that if the "Low Brake Fluid" warning message appears on the vehicle dashboard, you should pull off the road as soon as it is safe to do so. You should then contact Ferrari Roadside Assistance and get towed to the nearest dealer. |

| 2019093 | 2019-02-27. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the door lock cables could prevent the doors from being opened from the outside. Safety Risk: If the doors cannot be opened from the outside in an emergency, it may prevent access to the vehicle occupants. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have new door locks and door lock cables installed. |
| 2019011 | 2019-01-10. Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag module replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected. |
