20263922026-08-13. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recalls Y73 and 20A (Transport Canada recall nos. 2021-663 and 2023-090) may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, the rear spoiler could hit the body when opening and closing the liftgate. This could damage the spoiler and cause it to detach from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A spoiler that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to modify or, if necessary, replace the rear spoiler. The dealer will also inspect and adjust the liftgate, as necessary.
20245482024-08-15. Label. Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
20243382024-06-13. Visual System. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: For the Grand Cherokee model, this recall affects 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the radio software.
20230902023-02-23. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear spoiler could hit the body when opening and closing the liftgate. This could damage the spoiler and cause it to detach from the vehicle. Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada Recall 2021-663. Safety Risk: A spoiler that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear spoiler.
20222172022-04-28. Engine. Issue: On certain vehicles, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve could stick open. Under certain driving conditions, this could cause the engine to stall and result in a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the EGR valve.
20221132022-03-14. Steering. Issue: On certain vehicles, the steering gear rack bar could bend. If this happens, it may be difficult to steer the vehicle or you could lose steering control. Safety Risk: A sudden increase in steering effort or a loss of steering could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the steering gear assembly.
20221082022-03-11. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, the warning lamp for the electronic stability control (ESC) system may not turn on when there is a problem with the ESC system. Safety Risk: A driver that is not aware of a problem with the ESC system could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the antilock brake system (ABS) control module software.
20216632021-10-28. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear spoiler could hit the body when opening and closing the liftgate. This could damage the spoiler and cause it to detach from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A spoiler that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the rear spoiler. It will be replaced, as necessary.
20212392021-04-23. Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain vehicles, the side airbag curtains may have a loose or missing mounting fastener. As a result, the side airbag curtains may not inflate properly in a crash. A loose or missing fastener may also cause rattling in the headliner area. Safety Risk: A side airbag curtain that does not inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect for a loose or missing C-pillar fastener for the side airbag curtains.
