Flash: Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) Updates Customers must experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and the vehicle must SYMPTOM: exhibit/set one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): ● U0121-00 - Lost Communication With Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module. ● U1110 - Lost Vehicle Speed Message. ● U120C - Lost Brake Booster Signal. Customers may also comment one or more of the following: ● The vehicle will not shift out of Park. NOTE: This takes place when the vehicle in on standstill, the driver stays in the car for more than 10 minutes and if the driver presses the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) button. The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) module wakes up in silent mode and if another wake up request occurs (i.e. pedal press, door, ajar etc.) during this time the module locks up in no communication mode and other modules sets DTC against ESC module. ESC won't be operational and vehicle won't be able to shift out of park. ● Antilock Brake System (ABS) light is on in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). This bulletin involves reprogramming the ABS module with the latest available software.

Perform drag test on terminal to check for spread terminals on the female side of the connector. 2. Perform inspections of pins, fuses and relays. PDC pins can be straightened, there is no need to replace PDC. 3. Test for continuity on suspect wires and relays. 4. Test for voltage drops. 5. If the problem persists, disconnect and reconnect PDC before replacing.
