Service bulletins for the 2013 Chrysler 300

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

324 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

55111275A2022-09-26. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; BACK OVER PREVENTION. Sun Sensor Multi zone Auto Climate Control systems. Left and right outlet temperatures do not match when system is in "sync" . Occupants will experience being cold ( winter time), on either passenger or driver side, even though the temperature setting is the same. Root cause: Suspect sun senors ( PN 55111274AA and 55111275AA). THERE WILL BE NO DTC FOR THE SUN SENSOR active or stored. The issue is diagnosed by using an INCANDESCENT (not LED) shop lamp. Shine the shop lamp on the left side of the sensor, then on the right side of the sensor, while monitoring sensor output with STARSCAN. The reading should change from 0 (or near zero) to about 20 to 40. The important thing is that the left and right readings are the same, and that they change when the lamp is shone on it.
21041142022-09-26. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; POWER TRAIN. 845RE Harsh 2-1 Downshift This bulletin involves replacing the transmission valve body. A small number of customers may experience a bump sensation during a 2-1 downshift. This condition can occur at any transmission temperature and is most noticeable during light braking or while coasting to a stop. No Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will be set as a result of this.
21028142022-09-26. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; AIR BAGS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Flash: Transmission Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software. The following Transmission Control Module (TCM) calibration improvements are available for vehicles equipped with WA580 Automatic Transmission (Sales Code DGJ) and are broken down per engine application.3.6L Engine Hanging in gear during HOT ambient temperature conditions and high engine loads. Excessive pedal needed to downshift in high altitudes (i.e. passing). Poor shift quality, or high transmission temperatures during track or sport driving.5.7L Engine Hanging in gear at high engine speeds during aggressive driving. Gear shift point enhancements during high load or race track driving. Excessive pedal needed to downshift in high altitudes (i.e. passing). Poor shift quality or high transmission temperatures during track or sport driving. Improved acceleration response from speeds greater than 36 Mph (58 Kph) (Japan Market Only). Bump sensation felt during deceleration or braking.6.4L Engine Bump sensation felt during deceleration or braking. Inconsistent downshift during Wide Open Throttle (WOT) accelerations at highway speeds (i.e. passing).
