Certain vehicles may develop a fractured right front side tubular half-shaft near the outboard cv joint. This condition presents itself at a low mileage, and the driver may hear a clunk, grinding or rattle noise at the right front side of the vehicle during braking or accelerating. Loss of propulsion may also occur without warning. In addition, the wheels may not be locked, and rollaway can occur if the vehicle is placed in park on a grade without the parking brake being set. Replace the right front wheel drive shaft.

Some vehicles may have contact between an evaporative emission pipe and air conditioning (A/C) hose. Over time, such contact may wear a hole into the pipe causing a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) to illuminate and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0442 may set. Dealers will inspect the pipe for wear, install a bumper on the pipe; and if necessary, replace the purge pipe.

Certain vehicles, equipped with an automatic transmission (RPO MKV), may exhibit a condition where the driver notices a ?Propulsion Power is Reduced? message in the driver information center. This condition is sometimes accompanied by the diagnostic trouble code P0A7F or a significant decrease in actual electric vehicle range. The driver may also notice the engine running at consistently higher power than normal to propel the vehicle and acceleration is slower than expected. Dealers are to reprogram the hybrid powertrain control module 2.
