By component
| 93V187000 | 1993-11-16. SEATS. THE RECLINER MECHANISM AND THE SEAT FRAME MAY HAVE FOAM AND/OR VINYL BETWEEN THEM, CREATING A "SOFT" JOINT. THIS "SOFT" JOINT RESULTS IN LOWER THAN SPECIFIED BOLT TORQUE WHICH LEADS TO JOINT LOOSENESS, CAUSING BOLT FATIGUE AND EVENTUAL BOLT FAILURE. Built 1984-08-01 to 1991-01-01. |
|---|---|
| 93V119000 | 1993-08-02. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:ROTOR. SEVERE CORROSION DUE TO ROAD SALT AT THE JOINT OF THE STAMPED STEEL CENTER SECTION AND THE CAST OUTER SECTION CAN CAUSE THE SECTIONS TO SEPARATE. |
| 93V016000 | 1993-02-01. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. UNANTICIPATED HEAT IN THE TRANSMISSION CAN FORCE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID OUT OF THE VENT TUBE. Built 1986-12-01 to 1992-08-01. |
| 1995096 | 1995-06-01. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the service-part fuel tanks may have one or more pairs of the six projection welds which attach the sender-unit ring to the tank that do not meet specification. These out of specification welds may fracture during sender unit installation resulting in fuel leakage and a possible vehicle fire. Note: recall covers 1975-1986 chevrolet/gmc c/k pickup and chassis cab trucks and 1987-1991 chevrolet/gmc r/v pickup and chassis cab trucks. Correction: vehicles with fractured sender ring weld pairs will have a new fuel tank installed. |
|---|---|
| 1993153 | 1993-11-15. Seats And Restraints. ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH BUCKET SEATS WITH KNOB TYPE RECLINER MECHANISMS, A FRONT SEAT RECLINER BOLT MAY FATIGUE AND BREAK. THIS MAY ALLOW THE SEAT BACK TO SUDDENLY RECLINE, WHICH CAN LEAD TO SUDDEN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. CORRECTION: RECLINER BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES. |
| 1993141 | 1993-10-14. Powertrain. NOTE: R/V SUBURBAN TRUCKS - 2 WHEEL AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. VEHICLES MAY DEVELOP AN ABNORMAL PRESSURE BUILD-UP IN THE TRANSMISSION WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF TRANSMISSION FLUID COMING OUT OF THE FILLER TUBE ONTO HOT ENGINE PARTS RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE VEHICLE FIRE. CORRECTION: OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A NEW DIPSTICK WITH A LOCK-SEAL TOP, NEW OWNER MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS, GRAPHICS FOR CHECKING THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL AND UPDATED INFORMATION ON TOWING WITH AN OVERDRIVE EQUIPPED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
