20262602026-05-28. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, a component in the steering column may not have been manufactured properly. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears correctly when the shifter is moved. As a result, the gear shifter could feel like it is in one gear when the transmission is actually in another. This could cause sudden and unexpected vehicle movements. Note: This recall also affects certain cutaway chassis vehicles. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, General Motors advises that you visually verify the gear selection in the instrument cluster when selecting a gear and always use the parking brake when parking until the recall repairs have been completed. General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission control on the steering column.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
