By component
| 02V070000 | 2002-03-06. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES. IF THE ENGINE FAILS TO START AND THE DRIVER HOLDS THE KEY IN THE "START" POSITION FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD, HIGH CURRENT FLOWS THROUGH THE IGNITION SWITCH, AND SOMETIMES PRODUCES ENOUGH HEAT TO MELT INTERNAL SWITCH PARTS. Built 1994-03-01 to 1995-08-31. |
|---|---|
| 96V250000 | 1996-12-17. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHTS. THE FRONT AND/OR REAR HAZARD WARNING LAMPS (FOUR-WAY FLASHERS) DO NOT FLASH WHEN THE HAZARD SWITCH IS ACTIVATED. THIS FAILS TO COMPLY WITH FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." Built 1995-07-01 to 1995-08-31. |
| 95V141000 | 1995-07-26. STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS. SOME WELDS WERE OMITTED FROM THE BODY LOCK PILLAR, OR "B" PILLAR. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS NO.208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION." Built 1994-08-01 to 1994-08-01. |
| 95V025000 | 1995-02-16. SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER ARM. THESE VEHICLES HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH WELDS MISSING FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLIES CAUSING EXCESSIVE LOADS ON THE EXISTING WELDS. Built 1994-02-01 to 1995-01-01. |
| 2002041 | 2002-03-06. Electrical. On certain passenger vehicles if the engine fails to start and the driver holds the key in the "start" position for an extended period, high current flows through the ignition switch, and sometimes produces enough heat to melt internal switch parts. If the switch is damaged, a fire could occur in the steering column, even with the engine off and the key removed. Correction: Dealers will install a relay kit in these vehicles to prevent high current from flowing through the ignition switch. |
|---|---|
| 2000109 | 2000-04-28. Engine. Note: Certain 1997-99 vehicles in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces and 1995-99 vehicles in all other provinces and territories. Moisture may enter the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) as a result of corrosion after extended exposure to road salt. This can lead to symptoms including illumination of the "Check Engine" light or the engine running rough. If these symptoms are ignored the engine may stall and may not be able to be restarted. Correction: Dealers will seal the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in a protective shield/cover assembly. |
| 1999016 | 1999-02-15. Engine. On certain vehicles located in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland, Moisture entering the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) as a result of corrosion can cause illumination of the "Check Engine" light or cause the engine to run rough. If these symptoms are ignored, the engine may stall and may not be able to be restarted. Correction: Dealers will inspect, clean and/or replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), then seal the PCM in a protective shield/cover assembly. |
| 1996208 | 1996-12-30. Lights And Instruments. THESE VEHICLES MAY NOT COMPLY WITH C.M.V.S.S. 108 - LIGHTING EQUIPMENT. VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT A CONDITION IN WHICH THE FRONT AND/OR REAR HAZARD WARNING LAMPS (FOUR-WAY FLASHERS) DO NOT FLASH WHEN THE HAZARD SWITCH IS ACTIVATED. CORRECTION: VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND HAZARD LAMP SWITCH REPLACED IF NECESSARY. |
| 1995023 | 1995-02-16. Suspension. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH WELDS OMITTED FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLIES. THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE EXCESSIVE LOADS ON EXISTING CONTROL ARM WELDS, AND COULD RESULT IN SEPARATION OF THE FRONT BUSHING-SLEEVE SUBASSEMBLY FROM THE CONTROL ARM. THIS COULD RESULT IN REDUCED STEERING CONTROL AND A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARMS WILL BE INSPECTED AND THOSE FOUND WITH OMITTED WELDS WILL BE REPLACED. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
