To reduce the safety risk until the recall repairs are completed, General Motors recommends not to transport a person in the front-passenger seat.

Safety Risk: A fire that occurs after a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install foil tape under the carpet near the front seatbelt pretensioners. On certain model year vehicles, the technician will also install seatbelt pretensioner covers.
