| 12V582000 | 2012-12-12. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Can-Am Spyder GS, RS, and RT series vehicles. The fuel cap may not fit onto the fuel tank filler neck, preventing it from sealing properly. |
|---|---|
| 11V081000 | 2011-02-07. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:COLUMN SHIFT ASSEMBLY. BRP IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 SPYDER RT SM5 ROADSTERS. WHILE DOWN SHIFTING IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO INADVERTENTLY ENGAGE REVERSE WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE REVERSE BUTTON DUE TO A DEFECTIVE REVERSE ACTUATOR CABLE. |
| 2012422 | 2012-12-12. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel cap may not seal properly on the fuel tank filler neck and could allow fuel vapours to escape. Fuel vapours, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be sent an updated fuel cap. |
|---|---|
| 2011056 | 2011-02-03. Powertrain. On certain Can-Am Spyder RT, equipped with an SM5 transmission, it may be possible to inadvertently engage reverse gear, while downshifting, without first depressing the reverse button. If this happens while the vehicle is moving forward, the rear wheel could lock and the engine could stall. If this occurs while the vehicle is stopped, a rider, twisting the grip to apply throttle, may find the vehicle going in reverse rather than forward as expected. In conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and the rider's reactions, this could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will validate proper operation of the reverse actuator and, if defective, will replace the reverse actuator assembly. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
