2024-11-19. Engine. Issue: This recall is for certain oil filters sold at BMW Motorrad dealerships as a replacement part for 2008 to 2024 models. This recall affects oil filter part number: 11427721779-04. On certain motorcycles, the oil filter may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, under certain conditions, the filter could loosen and create an oil leak. Safety Risk: An oil leak near the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. An oil leak could create a hazard for others. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, oil that leaks onto hot components could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the oil filter.

2021-02-09. Fuel System. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump flange could crack. If this happens, fuel could leak while the engine is running. Note: This is an expansion of recall 16 002 20 (014) (Transport Canada Recall No. 2020-437). Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump (if equipped) with an improved version.
2017-09-01. Lights And Instruments. Certain motorcycles with dealer installed accessory turn signals may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CVMSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The size of the lens on the accessory turn signals may be too small, and therefore would not meet the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle conspicuity to following and approaching road users, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the accessory turn signals with factory indicators that meet the requirements of the standard.
2014-10-30. Tires. On certain motorcycles equipped with a Continental ContiSportAttack or ContiSportAttack2 front tire, a separation may develop between the thread, belt and carcass. This could potentially result in rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace affected tires.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
