Service bulletins for the 2011 BMW S 1000 RR

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

46 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

Bulletins, newest first
MC23001172018-11-26. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:COLUMN SHIFT ASSEMBLY; EQUIPMENT. Customer complains about an operating failure on the left or right multifunction switch.
MC32001142018-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. In the framework of quality monitoring, BMW Motorrad has ascertained that in some cases the clutch switch can trip before the clutch has fully disengaged. This is due to an incorrect cam-lobe contour on the clutch lever. For this reason, as of May 2014 the switch had been modified in such a way as to correct the switching point. Subsequently installing a clutch lever with the correct cam-lobe contour on one of these vehicles would change the switching point outside the tolerance window.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
