Automatic trunk does not open fully on first attempt when using any opening options. During the first unlock attempt, whether using: the inside trunk switch, remote key, Smart opener (foot swipe), the automatic trunk lid only opens part way as shown. HKL software and trunk latch adjustment issue.

A groaning noise can be heard from one or both of the front door decorative trim pieces while on rough roads. CAUSE The chrome plating of the trim mounting pins rubs against the door panel creating a groaning noise.

Damage to one or both window frame trims (front and rear door). CAUSE Front window frame trim is offset toward ""B"" pillar (as shown). Replace one or both window frame trim panels, if damaged."

SUBJECT Service Action: Lubricate Rear Door Seam Seals. Under certain circumstances, the rear door seam seal may stick to the front door. Customers may be dissatisfied by the additional effort required to open the door. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves F10 models produced from October 28, 2014 to January 12, 2015. First check if a Service Action label with a code number 731 is already attached to the B-pillar. If a code number 731 has been punched out, the Campaign has already been performed and no further action is necessary. Vehicles which require this Service Action to be completed will show it as ""Open"" when checked either in the ""Service Menu"" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or with the Key Reader. B3301152018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; POWER TRAIN. Cracking in Rear Differential Mount Bushing. During inspection, the rear differential mount in the rear axle support shows signs of cracking.
BMWAUG06162018-11-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. The delivery stop has been lifted for certain affected M vehicles produced from May 12, 2016 through July 4, 2016. While the delivery stop has been lifted, customers must sign a disclosure prior to delivery acknowledging the premature wearing of the rear axle differential. A copy of the disclosure form is attached and must be maintained in the customer?s deal jacket. Body of Disclosure:In the course of ongoing quality analysis, BMW has discovered that the disc in the rear-axle differential in the vehicle reference above wears out prematurely, causing loud noises. The remedy parts for the repair are not yet available. BMW of North America (?BMW NA?) will notify you when parts are available and advise you to schedule an appointment with your local BMW dealer to have the repair performed free of charge to you. B5130162018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:TAILGATE; STRUCTURE:BODY:TRUNK LID. TAILGATE UNINTENTIONALLY OPENS. Trunk/tailgate may open when vehicle is locked. Trunk/tailgate may open while the vehicle is in motion. Usually after stopping, such as a traffic light etc. Vehicle key trunk/tailgate button may accidentally be pressed, thus opening the tailgate.
