B5126152018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Driver or Passenger's Front Doors Handles Inoperable. Sporadically it is not possible to open the driver or passenger's front door from the outside or inside door handle. Multiple attempts will eventually open the door. Comfort access operation of the outside door handle works properly. This situation occurs at temperatures below 37 °F. CAUSE Incorrect routing of the Bowden cable.
BMWAUG06162018-11-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. The delivery stop has been lifted for certain affected M vehicles produced from May 12, 2016 through July 4, 2016. While the delivery stop has been lifted, customers must sign a disclosure prior to delivery acknowledging the premature wearing of the rear axle differential. A copy of the disclosure form is attached and must be maintained in the customer?s deal jacket. Body of Disclosure:In the course of ongoing quality analysis, BMW has discovered that the disc in the rear-axle differential in the vehicle reference above wears out prematurely, causing loud noises. The remedy parts for the repair are not yet available. BMW of North America (?BMW NA?) will notify you when parts are available and advise you to schedule an appointment with your local BMW dealer to have the repair performed free of charge to you. B5130162018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:TAILGATE; STRUCTURE:BODY:TRUNK LID. TAILGATE UNINTENTIONALLY OPENS. Trunk/tailgate may open when vehicle is locked. Trunk/tailgate may open while the vehicle is in motion. Usually after stopping, such as a traffic light etc. Vehicle key trunk/tailgate button may accidentally be pressed, thus opening the tailgate.
B5142162018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. WATER DRIPPING INTO LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FROM OPEN TRUNK LID. Water drips into luggage compartment when the trunk lid is lifted (also see attached video below). www.tinyurl.com/F30trunk trunk lid making sure it flows over the taillight. Open the trunk lid within one minute of pouring water over taillight. Water trapped between the tail light module and the body of the vehicle.
