This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI B65 24 13 dated January 2014. designates changes to this revision SUBJECT Headunit-High: INITIAL Enabling Code Is Not Accepted Via I-Drive. INFORMATION Do not replace parts and do not program the vehicle for this issue. First-time activation of the navigation system should always be performed during the Quality Certification 1 (QC1) Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), with the vehicle connected to the ISTA diagnosis system. Refer to SI B65 22 14. WARRANTY INFORMATION Not applicable since the first time activation of the navigation system is part of the QC1 process and cannot be claimed separately. This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI B65 13 12 dated September 2012. designates changes to this revision SUBJECT Headunit High: Navigation System Road Map Usage. INFORMATION The Headunit High (HU-H), also called NBT, began replacing the Car Information Computer (CIC) on certain MY2013 vehicles with option 609. This change will affect the navigation system road map data support process and the warranty spare parts processes for the HU-H. For the US market, all vehicles will come pre-loaded from the factory with the latest navigation system road map database version that was available at the time of vehicle production. Therefore, there will be no physical copy of the navigation system road map data media DVD set or USB stick placed in these vehicles at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC). NOTE: Additionally, all replacement HU-H parts come with a pre-loaded version of the current available navigation system road map database installed. A set of DVD copies of the navigation system road map database, HU-H NAVI Road Map North America NEXT, is shipped to all BMW centers through the automatic tool shipment program with each release of a navigation system road map database. IMPORTANT: Additional copies or earlier NAV road map database versions cannot be ordered individually! Therefore, please take special care to archive the HU-H NAV road map DVD sets! The NAV road map data on the DVD set can also be installed into the Network Attached Storage (NAS). From there it then can be installed onto the HU-H in the vehicle, using the Integrated Service Technical Application for Programming (ISTA/P). B6406152018-11-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. "IHKA - Blower Runs in Emergency Mode. After the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is locked, the heating and air conditioning blower motor runs continuously. The next time the vehicle is started there may be the CCM (Check control message) displayed for ""Increased battery discharge"". CAUSE The blower output stage receives an invalid LIN bus signal during operation and switches to emergency mode. The blower will continue to run with the specified emergency mode after the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is locked."

INFORMATION ONLY The key for successful wrap removal is to have the body cool (below 60 degrees) and dry. The recommendations are as follows: ? Before removing the B-pillar wrap, make sure the car body is dry and cool. ? Removing the wrap in the early morning hours will provide the best results. ? In warmer climates, it is recommended to keep the cars in an A/C environment at least overnight, and then, in the morning, slowly peel off the wrap. ? If there is still any glue residue left, use masking tape to cover the glue area. Wait for a few minutes, and then pull off the masking tape. Repeat this process until the glue is fully removed. B6523162018-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. ?AUDIO VOLUME NOT RESTORED AFTER MSA STOP, ENTRY HEAD UNIT. Volume of audio system (when set to near maximum) is reduced when Auto Start-Stop (MSA) stop occurs and is not restored upon automatic engine restart. This is normal system behavior - serves to protect the head unit, battery drain and avoidance of incremental leaps in the loudness. The loudness is reduced to 2/3 of maximum and is not restored. Note: Air conditioning output is also reduced upon MSA stop and is not restored for similar reasons.
