Service bulletins for the 2007 Audi S8
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 144920284402 | 2022-08-01. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:DISPLAY FUNCTION. The customer complains of one or more of the following issues: ? When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. ? The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. ? After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. ? When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. ? There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |
| 131020182884 | 2022-08-01. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION. If the vehicle?s engine experienced a serious mechanical problem, it is possible that small pieces of metal debris resulting from the mechanical problem may have become deposited in the intake manifold, air intake hoses, exhaust manifolds, exhaust down-pipes, turbocharger, supercharger, and/or intercooler. If these pieces are not removed prior to the installation and operation of the replacement engine, the pieces may be drawn into the combustion chamber, which can cause a knocking noise and subsequent serious engine damage. |
