Service bulletins for the 2009 Audi S5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.
435 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

| 27 13 19 2029010 | 2022-05-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Low battery charge: excess current draw location |
| 27 13 18 2023282 | 2022-05-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Battery testing and charging - vehicles with BDM |
| 24 13 49 2033885 | 2022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE. When the engine is first started in warm ambient temperatures, the idle may fluctuate when the vehicle is put into gear. There is an issue with the engine control module (ECM) software. |
| A402238202431812 | 2022-05-05. Service bulletin. WHEELS. This bulletin describes the proper procedure to address a clicking or clacking noise from the wheel bearing |
| A9022572032113_6 | 2022-05-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. This is an informational bulletin containing information about the outside temperature reading. |
| 37 14 31 2013002 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:FLUID/LUBRICANT:SEALS/GASKETS. As the sump pan gasket settles, the torque of the bolts decreases and the seal may leak. Automatic transmission fluid is leaking at the sump pan gasket. |
| 37 14 30 2003658 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC):CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off). |
| 37 13 81 2021193 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE; STEERING:GEAR BOX (OTHER THAN RACK AND PINION); POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Because of an unfavorable adjustment between engine and gearbox, vehicle can shudder under certain driving conditions when changing from second to first gear. |
| 37 13 07 2033658 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who consciously or unconsciously drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. As a result, application of the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time (brake pedal with left foot and accelerator pedal with right foot) results in the following: ? Brake pedal function (normal at all times) overrides any throttle application. ? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will not be stored. ? When the brake pedal is applied while the accelerator is depressed, engine RPMs will return to idle speeds of 1400 RPMs after approximately two seconds. ? When the accelerator is applied while the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle accelerates slower than usual (reduced engine torque). |
| 34 13 13 2028650 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Customer states constant howling, droning, or scraping noises heard from the front of the vehicle when accelerating lightly. The ball bearing for the left flange shaft spins in the gearbox housing because of a gap between the outer bearing ring and the support bracket. This can result in grinding marks and swarf (Figure 1, Figure 2). |
| 30 13 18 2028229 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There may be clutch mechanism wear. Customer may report that the vehicle does not start or only starts when the clutch pedal is pressed very firmly. The message ?Press clutch pedal to start vehicle? may appear in the instrument cluster. |
| 28 13 21 2017555 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. It is possible that objects have been inserted into the ignition lock, which causes the slide of the ignition lock to become stuck in the rear part of the lock (S-contact position). The stuck slide is not allowed to return to the starting point (0-position). |
| 27 13 18 2023282 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed. |
| 24 13 49 2033885 | 2022-05-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There is an issue with the engine control module (ECM) software. |
