A191335 2025303-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 11-19 dated February 10, 2011. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service.
A431313 2020095-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 13-12 dated February 4, 2013. The vehicle pulls to one side. The suspension height is uneven and the vehicle is crooked. One wheel location of the suspension is stuck in the raised position. The control system cannot be programmed. entries may be stored in the level control system control module, J197 (34). The residual pressure holding valve of an air spring may be stuck closed, not allowing the air spring to reduce its height. This valve's function is to ensure a minimum air spring pressure of 50 psi in the event of a large leak. For example, if an air supply line was severed by road debris, the residual pressure holding valve would keep the air spring from completely deflating.
A571385 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-82 dated February 5, 2013. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.
A601321 2030593-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 60 number 12-20 dated August 27, 2012. Evidence of water intrusion into the cabin of a vehicle equipped with a Panorama sunroof is found. Any of the water drain hoses can be either incorrectly installed (causing an obstruction) or the drain hose itself could have a defect causing a leak. In either case, water may not be channeled away from the sunroof frame and to the vehicle exterior. In most cases, these malfunctions can be found in the upper section of the drain hose. In the case of front sunroof drain hose malfunctions at the upper section of the drain hose, the repair has been to replace the drain hose. Replacing the drain hose is invasive and labor-intensive because it is necessary to remove and reinstall the instrument panel and structure to complete the procedure.
A961501 2019260-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 13-67 dated July 10, 2013. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer?s door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 model years 2005?2006 and A3 model year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer?s HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter?s programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal.
A481567 2017266-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 14-62 dated September 23, 2014. Electrically-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment.
A191562 2025303-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 15-61 dated July 7, 2015.
A171565 2038129-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 15-63 dated June 2, 2015. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.
A911518 2016513-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 10-59 dated September 15, 2010. In Mix (shuffle) mode, very long response times and subsequent malfunctions occur when the next track is being selected. Long response times also occur when the ?Return? hard key is pressed. In Mix (shuffle) mode, the previous track is not played when the ?Previous? button is selected in the CD control menu. A different track plays instead. In Mix (shuffle) mode, when the first track of the playlist was selected via the ?Previous? button in the CD control menu (rather than with the rotary push button), the track list shown in the MMI does not match the track list shown in the driver information panel (synchronization issue). In Mix (shuffle) mode, the current track is not highlighted in white letters in the MMI display. If the current track is selected again via the rotary push button, the audio briefly drops out. The current track is not color-highlighted in the MMI display. Audiobook tracks continuously fast-forward if ?Fast Forward? was selected in the first few seconds after the track started playing. The message ?Device is being initialized. Please wait?? is displayed when a second generation iPod Nano is installed. iPod locks up but is operable again after the iPod is reset. iPod performs a reset and restarts on its own. iPod is not detected when it is plugged into the AMI. The message ?Device or cable type not supported? appears in the MMI display. An automatic iPod upgrade through iTunes contained inoperative driver software. The customer may not realize that the iPod was updated and may complain that the AMI software is causing the issues. Because downgrading the updated iPod software is usually not possible, the AMI driver software (firmware) must be updated. The firmware update of AMI is not a ZUG update. Unlike ZUG updates, which are performed with an update CD in the CD changer, this firmware update is performed with a USB device connected dir
A461525 2022584-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 14-86 dated July 14, 2014. DO NOT use this TSB if there is another TSB for same concern applicable to the VIN. This TSB is only intended for diagnostic purposes and does not serve as a guideline for determining warrantable conditions. Customer may report that the steering wheel vibrates or pulsates when the brakes are applied. driving style, environmental conditions, and service history of the vehicle. Additionally, as brake pads and discs wear, their dampening ability is reduced. Disc thickness variation (DTV) is a common condition that contributes to brake pulsation. DTV occurs when the two braking surfaces of the brake disc are no longer parallel to each other. This condition cannot be accurately measured with normal workshop tools.

A961364 2029384-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 12-32 dated April 27, 2012. The customer is able to program one or more of the Homelink buttons using their garage door remote, but after a few days or weeks, one or more of the programmed Homelink buttons no longer function. The LED on the Homelink button that is no longer functioning now flashes slowly, indicating that no programming is stored. The customer?s transmitter operates at 295Mhz. At the workshop, the Homelink system can be programmed to the workshop garage door successfully. No trouble is found. No DTCs are stored in any control units. The garage door opener control module, J530, was designed with an operational frequency range in which the 295Mhz frequency works correctly during the initial programming of the system. Over time, the transmitting frequency can drift out of range (especially in warmer climates), causing the system to lose its programming.
A871236 2012886-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. A011255 2030192-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MIL light on. P2015 sender of intake manifold flap position/air flow control, implausible signal P2020 sender of intake manifold flap position, intake manifold flap 2, implausible signal. Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Check service history to see if the improved ? B? suffix V157 Intake Flap motor has already been installed previously; if yes, only replace the potentiometer seals as described below. The fault entry is made because a linkage of the intake manifold flap adjustment sticks. This is caused by deformed oil seal behind the potentiometers.
A171232 2018550-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12 - 31 dated August 30, 2012. Oil consumption measurement - Repair Authorization (CA). In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
