Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi Q5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 01138120332113 | 2022-10-31. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Technical Background: Under extreme driving conditions (e.g. long idle periods or extended stop and go traffic), high temperatures build up in the rail system and can lead to steam bubbles in the fuel. This causes temporary drops in fuel pressure, causing DTC P008700 (fuel rail pressure too low) to be stored. Freeze frame data will indicate those extreme driving conditions: coolant temperature is above 102? C. Production Solution: Software to optimize the cooling strategy to solve this issue is currently in development. |

| A661337 2035673- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR. Customer may report hearing wind noise from the front door area when the vehicle is driven at highway speeds. After diagnosis, it is determined that the source of the wind noise is the exterior rear view mirrors. Throughout the development of the Audi Q5 and Audi Q7, various features have been added to the exterior rear view mirrors. The added features include the turn signal lamp, side assist lamp, perimeter lamp, etc. As the complexity of the exterior rear view mirror increases, the mirrors become more susceptible to wind noise. The two main sources of wind noise from the exterior rear view mirrors are: the seam surrounding the turn signal lamp and the seam at the mirror base. The modifications explained in the Service section of this bulletin will effectively mitigate the wind noise symptom for the customer. |

The customer complains of hearing a creaking or knocking noise from the front of the vehicle when the vehicle is twisted, such as when being driven into or out of a driveway. The customer may describe the location of the noise source as the front suspension area. This type of noise may be caused by the contact between the hood height adjustment stop buffers and the lock carrier. While noises originating from the front of the vehicle may have a number of causes, the repair described below will eliminate this possible cause. |
