Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20257132025-12-19. Visual System. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software.
20255762025-10-22. Heater And Defroster. Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an Audi dealer during recall 82C7 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-314) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair may be required. On certain vehicles, the high-voltage electric heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-314. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail. As an interim repair, if your high-voltage electric heater fails before the final repair is available, Audi will replace it with a new part of the same design, free of charge. When the final repairs are available, Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger compartment high-voltage electric heater with an improved part.
20251862025-04-09. Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger occupant detection system (PODS) may malfunction. This could cause the airbag system to turn off the passenger-front airbag even when a passenger is seated. Note: This problem would cause an error message to display on the instrument panel and a warning chime to sound. The airbag indicator light would also display "passenger airbag off". Safety Risk: An airbag that is turned off could increase the risk of injury to a passenger in a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front seat cushion. Audi advises that you shouldn't use the front passenger seat if a PODS error message displays on the instrument panel or if the airbag indicator light displays "passenger airbag off" with an occupant in the seat.
20245732024-09-30. High Voltage. Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery modules could overheat and short circuit. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-189. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Audi recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed. Audi will notify owners by mail. As an interim repair, a dealer will inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-voltage battery modules. Once the final repair is available, Audi will notify you by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an advanced diagnostic software that will monitor the high-voltage battery and warn you if it detects a problem.
20243552024-06-19. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, the front brake hoses could fail and cause a progressive brake fluid leak. If this happens, you may experience a change in brake pedal feel and travel. This can cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the front brake hoses.
20241892024-03-22. High Voltage. This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-573. Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery modules could overheat and short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-voltage battery modules. To reduce the safety risk, Audi recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed.
20236592023-12-13. Accessories. Issue: Under certain conditions, the plug for the 220 V compact vehicle charging cable could become damaged by the house power outlet. As a result, the cable could overheat while charging. Note: This recall only affects electric and plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) models. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the vehicle charging cable. For unsold vehicles, the dealer will remove the charging cable before they are delivered to consumers.
20233142023-05-31. Heater And Defroster. Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-voltage electric heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger compartment high-voltage electric heater.
20226112022-10-26. Visual System. Issue: On certain vehicles, the infotainment main unit in the center console could fail. If this happens, the display screen will not turn on when you start the vehicle and the rearview camera image will not appear when backing up. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the infotainment unit.
20220682022-02-16. Accessories. Issue: The owner's manual for certain vehicles lists the wrong units for the recommended tire pressures. If you rely on what is printed in the owner's manual, you may not inflate the tires properly. Driving a vehicle with tires that are not inflated correctly could cause a loss of vehicle stability and/or lead to a tire failure. Note: The tire and loading information label on the B-pillar list the correct tire pressures. Safety Risk: Tires that are not properly inflated could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and provide you with an owner's manual insert with the correct tire inflation pressures.
20220672022-02-16. Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain vehicles, the wiring harness for the centre-rear seat belt buckle could interfere with the lower universal anchorage system (UAS) for securing a child seat. As a result, you may not be able to properly attach a child seat in the right-rear seat using the UAS. Safety Risk: A child seat that isn't properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wiring harness for the centre-rear seat belt buckle. The wiring will be re-routed and secured, as necessary.
20216422021-10-20. Visual System. Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause a delay before the rearview camera image appears. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display within 2 seconds of shifting the transmission into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera that is slow to turn on could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the vehicle infotainment unit parameters.
