Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi A7
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 2013_06_ATU Audi | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains information on the Audi side assist update. |
| A511306 2009967- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-23 dated June 3, 2011. Instructions for vehicle inspection, protection removal, and detailing. |
| A851319 2035000- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Various "whistling" noises are heard from the blower motor when it is running, particularly when it is running at lower fan speeds. The noises may be intermittent, and may depend on the outside temperature, the position of the flaps, etc. The noises are subtle, and they may not be heard if the audio system is on or if the vehicle is moving. The noises may be caused by a section of the noise insulation on the heating and air conditioning unit. |
| A911302 2018187- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-20 dated October 21, 2011. Customer may report that cracking, grinding, rattling, humming, whining, or similar interference is coming from one or more speakers. Parts of the speakers (such as the brackets, cables, or covers) or parts of the interior fittings (such as door covers, rear shelf, facings, or covers) can vibrate at certain frequencies, causing noises. The radio tuner or other control modules may be affected by electromagnetic interference from aftermarket electronic devices. |
| A961373 2034322- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:ANTI-THEFT DEVICES. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 13-36 dated July 10, 2013. The vehicle alarm activates for no reason and it cannot be turned off. The alarm horn does not work. DTC/fault symptom combinations are found in the comfort system control module. The DTC can be static or sporadic. The wiring harness insulation for the alarm horn can be damaged during the vehicle production assembly. Because the cable is routed through the plenum chamber, water can enter into the cable via the damaged insulation. The water causes the alarm to activate for no reason or it causes the alarm horn to not work. |
| Fluid Capacity C | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains the fluid capacity chart. |
| A911394 2034842- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Driver's voice sounds muffled or background noise sounds very loud to other caller during Bluetooth calls. Voice recognition commands are not recognized or voice recognition accuracy is poor. The location of the microphones within the roof module make them susceptible to interference by the vehicle air vents and climate control settings. When the center air vents are pointed upward, they can cause a "swirling" effect that affects the audio quality of Bluetooth® and voice recognition. This is particularly evident on hot days when the A/C system is set to "auto". |
| A911396 2026390- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 12-38 dated March 2, 2012. When a phonebook with a large number of contacts is being downloaded, the MMI screen freezes in one of the following scenarios: * After the initial Bluetooth connection (shortly after the phone is bonded to the vehicle), the screen freezes briefly. * After the ignition is switched on (shortly after the phone automatically reconnects with the vehicle). * After the phonebook has downloaded. * When the voice recognition system is used, a message appears in the MMI screen stating that the phone book is too large and that the voice recognition system cannot be used. The command "Call <Name from directory>" is a global MMI command that is available in the telephone menu and main menu screens. If either menu is displayed, the message can appear when the voice recognition button (push to talk) on the steering wheel is pressed. |
| A961367 2019260- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 12-37 dated June 11, 2012. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer's door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 Model Years 2005 - 2006 and A3 Model Year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer's HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter's programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal. |
| A961369 2034516- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST. Road lane markings are not detected or the Audi lane assist system is inoperative after the lane assist camera control module, J852, has been calibrated, the windshield has been replaced, or the air suspension level sensors have been adapted. A DTC for incorrect calibration may be stored in the camera control module (address word 85). The camera control module has not been properly calibrated; there is no technical problem. |
| PDI - 2014 A7 Ch | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains the Audi delivery guidelines checklist. |
| A911392 2030947- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 12-61 dated September 25, 2012. The customer complains that when he or she is trying to place a phone call from the vehicle while using a Bluetooth®-connected phone, the phone call disconnects before it begins and an error shows on the MMI display. The message may be "Function not supported" or "Network error". The customer is using a phone with the Android operating system. In addition, Skype®, or another network-based communication software, is installed on the phone. Call can be placed directly from the phone without a problem. When the phone gets the request to place a call from the vehicle, a prompt appears on the phone asking the user to choose how the call should be placed. If the prompt is ignored, the MMI system disconnects the call assuming the phone is not responding. |
| A571384 2024463- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 12-72 dated September 24, 2012. Keyless entry is inoperative. Remote range is poor. Audi Advanced key is inoperative. High early warranty information related to inoperative remote keys necessitates this repair authorization. Through our combined efforts and cooperation, we will be able to raise the level of Audi quality and overall customer satisfaction. |
| A571382 2017082- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders. |
| A011386 2033630- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE. MIL on. Rough idle. DTCs are stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Because there are a number of different misfire faults (unrelated to ignition coil operation) that could cause the MIL to illuminate, proper Guided Fault Finding (GFF) misfire diagnosis must be followed before any ignition coils are replaced. |
| A001348 2002047- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-19 dated April 8, 2011. This TSB contains information on technician preparation when calling the Audi Technical Assistance Center |

This bulletin applies to any repair that requires replacement of the air conditioning compressor. Any replacement of A/C compressors?regardless of the reason for failure?must include an ODIS GFF cooling performance test plan of the A/C system with documentation of the recovered refrigerant volume. This GFF test plan requirement is mandatory without exception. |

| A911522 2040406- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-10 dated August 25, 2015. When the vehicle is started, the GPS location or vehicle direction indicated on the MMI navigation map does not match the vehicle?s actual location or direction of travel for a long period of time (often as long as 10 minutes). The issue occurs in open sky, with no large buildings obstructing the sky view. The issue is intermittent, but it can occur for long periods of time during a single day.
