Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A461357 2031135-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 12-26 dated October 23, 2012. The yellow warning for electromechanical parking park (EPB) appeared once in the instrument cluster. The warning turned off after the ignition was cycled, and there have not been additional occurrences. EPB function was not affected. The adaptive cruise control (ACC) was inoperative once, but it resumed proper operation after the ignition was cycled, and there have not been additional occurrences. DTCs are logged in the EPB control module. There is an issue with the software in the EPB control module that occurs one time. Because the issue only occurs once, replacing the control module could cause an additional occurrence.
A481347 2034351-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. STEERING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13-45 dated July 10, 2013. Customer may report hearing creaking or squeaking noise from the steering column when steering slowly (the noise can be duplicated while the vehicle is stationary if the steering wheel is turned slowly). The noise may get louder at higher temperatures or when the vehicle is driven for a longer period of time. The noise comes from the sealing sleeve/steering column opening on the bulkhead. Listen to the attached audio file for example of the noise. Insufficient lubrication of the intermediate steering shaft in the area of the sealing sleeve.
A511306 2009967-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-23 dated June 3, 2011. Instructions for vehicle inspection, protection removal, and detailing.

A641329 2020552-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Windshield is streaked, has a snakeskin appearance, or its surface feels rough. Residue from industrial fallout as well as normal road dirt and grime may accumulate on windshield.
A801304 2033806-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 80 number 13-03 dated May 13, 2013. Malfunction Indicator Lamp is on. Climate system heating performance is insufficient. Coolant level warning is on. Engine temperature is elevated. "Limp Home" mode is active. Faults are stored in the transmission control module. Coolant loss is found from one or more control valves: N82, N509, or N488. Coolant may have migrated into the wiring harness through the connector and into various control units. Climate system heating performance is insufficient due to coolant loss, or due to a faulty N82 control valve. Inspection of the coolant control valves N82, N509, or N488 reveals the presence of coolant inside the electrical connector. The connectors, wiring harness, and/or connected control units may have been damaged from exposure to coolant.
A851319 2035000-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Various "whistling" noises are heard from the blower motor when it is running, particularly when it is running at lower fan speeds. The noises may be intermittent, and may depend on the outside temperature, the position of the flaps, etc. The noises are subtle, and they may not be heard if the audio system is on or if the vehicle is moving. The noises may be caused by a section of the noise insulation on the heating and air conditioning unit.
A871344 2020124-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 13-43 dated July 12, 2013. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged. Sensor G395 is a LIN slave of the vehicle electrical system control module. The vehicle electrical system control module transfers the information provided by the sensor via the comfort data bus to the climate control module, J255.
