Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1506 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

Edition832023-02-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. 97 no start
011462203616932023-01-03. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Diesel fuel requires additive blending or ?winterization? to be useable at low temperatures. At temperatures below 20° F (-7° C), No. 2 Diesel with insufficient winterization blending may lose its fluidity due to wax separation. This may clog the fuel filter or in-tank filter, preventing the engine from operating properly. No. 2 Diesel is blended by refineries to various levels of winterization (minimum useable temperature) based on month, geographical location, and the 10th percentile minimum ambient air temperature for the given region. Although rare, during sudden periods of extreme low temperatures (record lows), fuel stations may not be adequately prepared with No. 2 Diesel fuel with sufficient winterization to resist wax formation or ?gelling?.

011403203322332023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
011390203376712023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 01 MIL on (DTC P1196/P1197/P0135, heater circuit fault lambda sensor) - Repair Authorization
011384202773292023-01-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. no leak in EVAP system. New software in the ECM addressed the condition.
011373203322312023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine warning light on after engine replacement
011371202773282023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). New software in the engine control module, J623 (01) addressed the condition.
011366203145832023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes.
011345203145842023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions (such short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear.
011329203322322023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
011258203145812023-01-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes. By changing the crankcase pressure valve to a lower operating pressure this condition can be improved and eliminate the mentioned possible DTC codes. Along with the crankcase pressure being lowered, a new ECM software level is required to compensate for new crankcase pressure.
001466203794912023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). A DTC with the description ?Invalid Data Record? is stored after an ECU has been replaced or updated.
001463203357622023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
001459202973722023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints.
001349203357612023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay.
A1922332061604_52022-12-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This bulletin contains instructions for resolving a coolant leak.
011452202934072022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The faults listed above are caused by an incorrect software setting and can occur under certain driving conditions. In some scenarios, such as extended idling or heavy stop-and-go traffic, a slight misinterpretation of the data can occur and the MIL may be activated.
011403203322332022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
0113992027732112022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). 01 MIL on, no leak in EVAP system (DTC P045600 in ECM. Software update needed.
0113852027732102022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). no leak in EVAP system. New software in the ECM addressed the condition.
