Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1506 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

A011688 2040403-2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This technical service bulletin instructs the reader to replace either a combi valve or vacuum solenoid valve depending on the circumstances under which DTC P244000 and/or P244200 were stored.
A011686 2029340-2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin provides software update information for DTCs in the engine control module that can cause a MIL light.
A9415712039584-22018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 15-59 dated January 29, 2015. A bulb failure warning for one or several taillight functions appears in the instrument cluster, but the taillights are operating normally. The warning only occurs at very low outside temperatures. DTC entries are logged in the comfort system central control module. The transistor in the taillight is a component of the bulb failure monitor. The transistor is out of tolerance, which causes the bulb failure monitor to not see enough current consumption when outside temperatures are very low. This causes a false lamp failure warning.
A0115372027732-12018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 14-68 dated March 5, 2014. The MIL is on. DTC P045600 (very small EVAP leak) stored in engine control module. No leaks found in the EVAP system. Software update needed.
A0115362041120-22018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 15-26 dated June 30, 2015. The MIL is on. DTC P042000 and/or P043000 (Catalyst system Bank 1/2, Efficiency below threshold) is stored in the engine control module (ECM). The diagnostic limitations were too narrow.
A871569 2020124-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 14-49 dated April 25, 2014. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged. Sensor G395 is a LIN slave of the vehicle electrical system control module. The vehicle electrical system control module transfers the information provided by the sensor via the comfort data bus to the climate control module, J255.
A0115312033806-72018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 80 number 14-07 dated August 11, 2014. The MIL is on. Climate system heating performance is insufficient. Coolant level warning is on. Engine temperature is elevated. ?Limp Home? mode is active. Faults may be stored in the transmission control module. Coolant loss is found from one or more control valves: N82, N509, or N488. Coolant may have migrated into the wiring harness through the connector and into various control units. Climate system heating performance is insufficient due to coolant loss as a result of coolant migration in the electrical harness, faults in 08-Heating and Air Conditioning Electronics that result from coolant migration in the electrical harness, or a faulty N82 control valve.
