Service bulletins for the 2011 Audi A6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 00146320335762 | 2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage. |
| 00145920297372 | 2022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints. |

| 144020338362 | 2022-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Beginning with MY2009, the filler necks of various TDI clean diesel vehicles were equipped with a misfueling guard (Figure 1). The guard minimizes the likelihood that fuel other than ultra-low sulfur diesel will be put into the vehicle. The misfueling guard is designed to remain in a locked position when a nozzle with a diameter typically suited for non-diesel fuels (approximately 13/16?, or 20.6mm) is inserted, to prevent further insertion of the nozzle into the filler neck. A nozzle with a larger diameter typically suited for diesel fuel (approximately 15/16?, or 23.8mm) will unlock the misfueling guard when inserted, allowing the nozzle to be further inserted into the filler neck. |

The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. ? After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. ? When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. ? There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). | 1346203019712 | 2022-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures. |
