| A011383 2033001- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM. MIL on. DTC P0491 and P0492 (Secondary Air System Insufficient Flow, Bank 1/2) are stored at the same time. Mileage is greater than 15,000 miles. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction. |
| A171337 2030197- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 13-36 dated February 14, 2013. Customer complains of excessive oil consumption. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature, and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 3.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods. |
| A171338 2012913- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 10-07 dated June 3, 2010. Oil filter cartridge requires replacement. |
| A171339 2030197- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 13-37 dated March 13, 2013. | A191335 2025303- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 11-19 dated February 10, 2011. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service. |
| A461332 2016681- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPER; SERVICE BRAKES; SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:CALIPER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 47 number 10-01 dated July 15, 2010. Muh? sound or moaning noise coming from the front brakes (FNRG). The performance of the brakes is not compromised. The pistons in the calipers in certain vehicles may not retract far enough, which may leave contact between the rotor and pad. This contact may cause a ?muh? sound or moaning noise in low speed conditions. |
| A571385 2017082- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-82 dated February 5, 2013. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders. |
| A911380 2032706- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-73 dated January 25, 2013. Customer complains of a "popping" noise from the radio followed by 10-15 seconds of no audio. The concern can happen in any audio source. Vehicle is equipped with MMI 3G or MMI 3G+ infotainment systems. Vehicle is not equipped with Bose or Bang & Olufsen sound systems. An ignition cycle is not required for audio to resume. The problem originates in the HD radio code, which can create a "resetting" within the radio unit. Because the tuner is always active in the background, the problem can occur regardless of the audio source or if the HD radio is on or off. It can also occur at any point that the MMI is on, but not necessarily active. For example, the customer opens a door and the MMI starts up. Even though the system is not ?on? because the ignition is not active, the tuner is running and can create the effect. |
| Email Mandatory | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains the important email to all Audi dealership personnel in regards to the immediate madatory stop-sale order that is in effect to all vehicles from 20110-2015 that have a 2.0L TDI engine. |
| A961501 2019260- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 13-67 dated July 10, 2013. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer?s door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 model years 2005?2006 and A3 model year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer?s HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter?s programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal. |
| A481567 2017266- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 14-62 dated September 23, 2014. Electrically-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment. |
| A191562 2025303- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 15-61 dated July 7, 2015. |
| A171565 2038129- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 15-63 dated June 2, 2015. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual. |
| Scheduled Maint | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains the scheduled maintenance intervals. The first scheduled service is due at 5,000 miles (8,000 km) or 1 year after delivery, whichever occurs first. Thereafter, all remaining scheduled services are due every 10,000 miles or 1 year after previous service, whichever occurs first. |
| A911520 2039515- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-07 dated July 28, 2015. The customer complains that the Audi connect online service in their 2012-2013 A6 or A7 vehicle only reaches 2G service. This bulletin applies only to model year 2012-2013 A6 and A7 vehicles. For other models, see TSB 2039476. This bulletin does not apply to model year 2014 or newer. Starting with model year 2014, the new telephone module was installed in production. Recently, T-Mobile (the service provider for Audi connect) has repurposed some of the GSM spectrum (3G on 2100Mhz band) to maximize 4G LTE coverage in certain metropolitan areas. Devices that do not support 3G service on the 1900MHZ band (including MMI main units of model year 2012-2013 A6 and A7 vehicles) will only receive 2G service when the switch is completed. The change currently only affects the markets listed above, but will affect other markets in coming years. This bulletin will be updated to include these markets as changes occur. |
| A461525 2022584- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 14-86 dated July 14, 2014. DO NOT use this TSB if there is another TSB for same concern applicable to the VIN. This TSB is only intended for diagnostic purposes and does not serve as a guideline for determining warrantable conditions. Customer may report that the steering wheel vibrates or pulsates when the brakes are applied. driving style, environmental conditions, and service history of the vehicle. Additionally, as brake pads and discs wear, their dampening ability is reduced. Disc thickness variation (DTV) is a common condition that contributes to brake pulsation. DTV occurs when the two braking surfaces of the brake disc are no longer parallel to each other. This condition cannot be accurately measured with normal workshop tools. |
| A441557 2022563- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 14-56 dated December 8, 2014. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. Customer feels the vibration while driving at highway speeds from 55 ? 80 mph (88 ? 128 km/h). This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. If an applicable Repair Authorization is not followed, the claim will not be paid. Tires with higher mileage and/or wear should be inspected to determine the best correction for the issue (repair or replacement). Tire life and condition should be determined prior to starting any diagnosis or repair for a vibration. |
| A911529 2013422- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-04 dated September 11, 2013. The Bluetooth® telephone cannot be connected to the vehicle?s Infotainment system. Certain restrictions are present when a Bluetooth device is connected to the vehicle. The restrictions vary depending on the vehicle system present. |
| A911526 2042097- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). The traffic feature in the MMI navigation is inoperative. If the vehicle is a model year 2016 A6 or A7, see TSB 2042013: 91 Audi connect online destination search, Google Earth navigation view, or INRIX online traffic is not available. There is a known server issue that can only be resolved through a change to the Audi AG backend server. Audi has changed traffic providers over the years as new technologies have developed. This bulletin provides an overview of the different systems and the basic checks that can be performed to diagnose complaints related to traffic in the MMI navigation system. |
| A401549 2018194- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:FRONT:SHOCK ABSORBER; SUSPENSION:REAR:SHOCK ABSORBER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 14-41 dated July 2, 2014. Oil appears on one or several shock absorbers. Oil may appear on a shock absorber As a result of a leak because the shock absorber is damaged. Oil may appear on a shock absorber As a result of residue from when the shock was filled during production, or as a result of slight condensation in the seal area. This small amount of oil is for lubrication and it reduces wear on the seal. |
| A201559 2011703- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 20 number 13-29 dated November 15, 2013. The fuel tank has been removed from the vehicle and must be neutralized before shipment or disposal. When the fuel tank in a vehicle is replaced, the original tank must be properly flushed to neutralize the remaining gasoline or diesel fuel. |
| A171568 2028440- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |
| A001578 2021205- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 10-05 dated June 14, 2010. VIN plate and/or B-Pillar Safety Certification label requires replacement. |
